Determining BT8 or BTR Spindle on Trailer
Question:
Is there anyway i can tell if my trailer has the BT8 or BTR Spindle without tearing the axle apart on my trailer?

The easiest way will be to pull off a trailer wheel and hub and then use a caliper like # PTW80157 to measure the spindle diameter where the bearings ride. If the diameter is .99 then you have the BT8 spindle or if it's 1.06 you have the BTR. The trailer hub # AKIHUB-440-2-G-2K you referenced would be what you'd need if you have the BT8.
If instead you have the BTR you'd want the part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K.
