Trailer Fenders Compatible with 12 Inch Wheels and Brackets 27 Inches Apart
Question:
I need trailer fenders for a 95 Rockwood I’m retrofitting as a kayak trailer. I have 5.3-12” tires. I have 12.5” long and 2” wide brackets on either side with a total span of 27”. What part would I order? Thanks

For your retrofitted kayak trailer I recommend the Single Axle Trailer Fender - 16 Gauge Steel - 13" to 14" Wheels - Qty 1 # HP89VR which have a span of 28 inches. This fender is designed for larger tires and has a 28 inch overall span, so when mounting to your brackets it will fit on the inside of your brackets. If you want to go over the brackets then the Single Axle Trailer Fender - Jeep Style - Aluminum Tread Plate - 13" to 15" Wheels - Qty 1 # HP96VR may be more the route to go.
Another option is to use the Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top Step - Black Plastic - 14" Wheels - Qty 1# F008554 which you can easily customize to fit but you then should not use the step on top.
