What is the Weight Capacity of the Draw-Tite 5/8 Inch Hitch Pin PC3

Question:

What are the ratings of your 5/8 hitch pins? Working load limits and breaking strength rating? Thank you

The class III and greater hitch pins like part # PC3 are never going to be the weak point in a towing setup therefore they do not have a working load limit (WLL) or break strength rating. This is pretty standard across all trailer hitch pin manufacturers. The trailer hitch and or ball mount will fail much sooner than the hitch pin will. I know it may seem crazy but I have never seen a hitch pin given any sort of weight rating before. If you really must have a weight capacity rating, then you can look at the tensile strength of a 5/8" grade 8 bolt which is around 150,000 lbs per square inch.

For a locking hitch pin we have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # C23519.
