How To Run Grounds for Lights on an Aluminum Frame Trailer
Question:
aluminum grounding

It sounds like you may be wondering how to attach the grounds on your trailer because it has an aluminum frame which you have either read or experienced issues with. If that is the case then I recommend you first use a junction box like the Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box part # PK52248. Once you have this you can then run all of your lights and trailer connector to a single ground point on the coupler with a ring terminal like the part # DW05762-1 (junction box to coupler) and extra wire like part # DW02359-1 (lights to junction box). This is going to ensure that you don't have any issues with your grounds. If your trailer lights ground through the mounting hardware then you can use another ring terminal and run a separate ground wire yourself to the junction box from each light.
