Wiring Vehicle-End 7-Way to 1995 Ford F-350
Question:
Chevy 7 pole auto receptacle wired to a 95 f350. Hello some lights work and some do not I put the reception on today and matched the wire colors but ford has an orange and Chevy has a red so I hooked them together do you have a diagram showing orange wire

To hardwire a 7-way to your 1995 Ford F-350 you are going to need to use a circuit tester like the very handy Cordless Circuit Tester # PTW2979 and match the wires by function. The cut out I added is of a typical 7-way connector and shows the pin locations you need to wire your connector to.
The reason you need to do this is because wire colors are not universal. Wiring can also be different for years, makes and models of trucks, and the wiring may have been changed over the years by other owners so there are no diagrams available with wiring colors and their functions.
