What Upgrades Were Made to the Yakima Fat Cat EVO over Previous Generation

There are a few noteworthy improvements for the FatCat6 EVO, part # Y03096 over the previous version of the FatCat 6.
First being Yakima's newer rubber coated steel strap mounting system. This is an extremely quick to mount system that locks using the integrated Same Key System. It fits AeroBars sized up to 3.5 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall, and didn't fit those in the previous version.
The EVO also includes additional adapters for round and square bars, letting it attach to a wide variety of bars available on the market.
Another great upgrade is the SmartT-Slot Kit, part # Y03098 which lets it fit into aero bar T-Channels, improving the security and stability of the fit to the bars.
The final improvement is additional attachment points on the bottom of the carrier to make biasing, or mounting to one side or the other of the rack, easier to do. This makes loading multiple accessories, like a roof box, much easier to do.
I attached a review video for this carrier for you to check out as well.
