I wasn't able to find a specific tongue weight listed for your 1991 Jayco 245BH trailer but I did find that its GVWR is 5,940 pounds and the total dry weight is 4,130 pounds. Knowing this it's a safe guess that the dry tongue weight is between 400 to 625 pounds. A trailer's tongue weight is generally 10 to 15 percent of the trailer's weight.

If you have the trailer you could always weigh it. This is especially a good idea because you really need to know the tongue weight for your loaded trailer not what its spec sheet says. This way you can choose towing components rated for what your trailer weighs and not what it weighs empty.

We carry the etrailer tongue weight scale, part # e99044, for an easy way to find your trailer's tongue weight. There's also other methods using a standard bathroom scale or taking your loaded trailer to a commercial scale that are both explained in the help article I've linked for you. I've also linked a video of the Sherline scale being used.
