Is a Custom Wedge Required for the B&W Companion OEM While Being Used with the Sidewinder
Question:
I have purchased the B and W Companion # BWRVK3600 recommended by etrailer. I have located the Lipp1621 pin box and know I need the RP 61421 for the sidewinder. My question is do I need an additional wedge to get the sidewinder to fit the Companion? Anything else I should know? Thanks

Yes, the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels part # SWW-06 will be needed with the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret part # RP34FR when used with your B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3600.
If you have not used a rotating pin box before then the only real difference in regards to operation is that you will need to align the truck as straight as possible when you couple the two together. This is going to ensure that the wedge gets seated inside the 5th wheel hitch head properly and you don't have any issues with uncoupling or excessive chucking/jarring.
