Recommended Roof Bag to Use with Crossbars on 2019 Honda CR-V
Question:
Honda CR-V side rails are flush so need a roof luggage bag that is secure using crossrails only. Alternatively, considering installing a roof basket.

For a roof bag that works great with crossbars I recommend taking a look at the Thule Interstate Cargo Bag # TH869. This particular bag features mounting straps on both the fronts and sides so that it can easily and securely attach to either raised side rails or just roof rack crossbars. It has a water-resistant construction to keep your gear dry and a padded base that will protect your CR-V's roof from any scratches or dents.
The bag itself measures 40 inches long, 38 inches wide, and 18 inches tall. I have attached an image from the manual that shows how to attach the bag to crossbars.
If you are wanting to add a cargo basket as well I recommend the Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT that will work perfectly to secure additional gear or to use with the above-mentioned cargo bag. It has a nice low-profile design for a sleek appearance and reduced wind drag along with a 150 pound weight capacity.
