How Long Will the Thule Hitching Post Pro Part # TH934XTR Last

I was reconsidering perhaps buying a rack with additional capacity for future use once my son is older hes currently only 2. Whats the typical life of these racks? Would it last me a decade? Considering that its actually cheaper, I was thinking of purchasing the Thule 4-bike rack item # TH934XTR as opposed to the 2-bike rack item # TH912XTR you recommended. Would there be any downside to that? Are there major differences between the two? Advantages/disadvantages? I cant seem to spot any. As for hitches, which one would you recommend?

There isn't really a specified life span for hitch mounted bike racks as it will vary based on how they are cared for and how much they are used. However, I wouldn't think it is out of the ordinary for one to last a decade. The only thing that really wears down on hanging bike racks like the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR are the cradles but they can easily be replaced with the Replacement Stay-Put Cradle for Thule Parkway and Roadway Bike Carriers part # 853-7887. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a few extra on hand anyhow.

In regards to the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058 and Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR, are very comparable carriers except for the number of bikes that they carry.

For your 2016 Nissan Rogue, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75902 because it sits closer underneath the rear bumper for a cleaner look which also increases ground clearance. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver is a custom fit so no drilling into the frame is required. I have attached an install video for you as well as a photo.
