Trailer Hitch for 2018 VW Golf SportWagen with Blind Spot Sensors
Question:
My 2018 Sportwagen has blind spot sensors. I saw that the Draw-tite hitch instructions for the Golf R includes instructions for reinstalling the blind spot sensors. Would this install in a similar way?

I looked at the instructions for each of the trailer hitches that fit a 2018 VW Golf SportWagen and there is no mention of blind spot sensors in the instructions for the EcoHitch # 306-X7315, Draw-Tite # 24949, or Curt # C11422, nor is there any mention of blind spot sensors in the linked installation video of the Draw-Tite hitch being installed on a '15 VW SportWagen.
Based on my research, the instructions and the installation video it doesn't look like installing any of these hitches, including the EcoHitch # 306-X7315, will interfere with the blind spot sensors in any way. The Golf R is a different model, hence the different directions so you are going to want to install the EcoHitch according to its directions.
