The Furrion RV observation Camera system part FOS48TAPK-BL is an older version of the wireless Furrion camera part # FOS43TASF. The newer system pairs as soon as there is power and you turn on the camera.
If you have the FOS48TAPK-BL version you do need to pair the camera to the monitor with the menu screen. Press and hold the power button on the monitor to turn it on. The vehicle needs to be running before it pairs. The menu shows a pairing option. Use the up and down buttons on the side of the monitor to get to the pairing option. Make sure the pairing option is highlighted and press the power button once. The Camera also has a monitor pairing button, press that button until the screen on the monitor shows it searching for the camera then let go. Once you have successfully paired the camera the screen shows a red icon that looks like to chain links linked together. I have attached a screenshot of the menu and a photo of where to find the pairing button on the camera.
