2017 Ford F-250 Diesel Towing Capacity

Question:

Hi Guys So I’m almost brain dead trying to figure all this stuff out. Trailer dealers just want to sell trailers and know nothing the majority of the time so it’s time to turn to the experts! 2017 F-250 SRW lariat value pkg w/ 6.7 Powerstroke, BW Hide a ball installed and need to know the following: is this truck capable of hauling a 22GN 30’ gooseneck with tandem 10K axles or Can it only handle the 14GN 33’ with tandem 7K axles? My plan is to haul small construction equipment/job site supplies wherever I can get work from. Mostly local stuff but money talks and B******t walks. What’s your take on this? Every bit of advice helps.

The 2017 F-250 diesel 4x4 with 3.31 differential has a rated towing maximum of 17,600-lbs, according to the Ford online specs I found. It really comes down to the weight of the trailers you are considering. You didn't mention the weights and only the lengths so it's hard to say. If the one trailer would be loaded to 20k it's going to be too heavy though. If the other trailer would only be loaded to 14k (axle capacity you mentioned) it would be fine with the B and W Turnoverball hitch part # BWGNRK1116.
