How To Ground a Generator Using the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier

My Champion generator suggests grounding. How do I ground it when mounted on the Stromberg Carlson carrier. I actually have it screwed down to the tray.

The Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier for A-Frame Trailers part # CC-255 is not going to provide the best ground for your generator. However, we do not carry Champion Generators therefore I strongly urge you to call the manufacturer to see where they recommend grounding the generator.

For example, the etrailer 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator part # 333-0003 recommends that you connect a length of heavy gauge (12 AWG minimum) copper wire between the generator ground terminal and a copper rod driven into the ground.
