Lippert Ground Control 2.0 Rear Jack Out of Stroke Error When Jack is Under Load Solution

Question:

My right rear jack has never been right since new. As soon as it comes under much load at all it causes the controller to sense out of stroke. I suppose this can be caused by the a motor b gear box, or C jack itself. Any suggestion where and how to start investigating? The trailer is now 3 years old and the jack continues to be a PITA.

Helpful Expert Reply:

"Out of stroke" is supposed to mean that the jack has gone as tall as it can go but it can also mean that there is an unexpected high amp current stall. Since it sounds like your issue is the second reason that would indicate the motor is drawing too much amperage and that would indicate that the motor is bad most likely. The solution would be a new motor like the part # LC241795 that you referenced.
