You can replace the OEM puck system on your 2016 Ram 3500 with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1314 but you will need to use the installation hardware that comes with the B&W kit. Not only have these bolts been tested and approved with the B&W gooseneck hitch but typically hitch hardware, whether it is for bumper pull or 5th wheel/gooseneck hitches, is only meant to be torqued once. The reason that other gooseneck hitches don't have an offset is because they have circular hitch ball couplers which would allow the offset to pivot.

This will then allow you to use the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 to get some extra clearance.

Please note that the Goose boxes only replace specific pin boxes. For example:

Part # RP94716-61301 will only replace Lippert 0115, 1116 and 1716 boxes

Part # RP85FR will only replace Lippert 1621, 1621HD, and 0719 boxes as well as 1716 if you use the spacer kit # RP61301.

If you don't have an extra set of hands to help you install the B&W gooseneck hitch then you also may be interested in the Hitch Helper Installation Kit # BWGNXA8030. This helps to hold the assembly in place from the bed of your Ram while you install the hardware as you can see from the linked installation video.

I have also attached an installation video for the B&W gooseneck hitch on a 2016 Ram 3500 that you can follow.
