Should Head of B&W Companion Hitch Position so that Hitch is In Front Or Behind Axle

Question:

So I just purchased part number BWRVB3700 B and W Compaion Fifth Wheel hitch. Should I rotate the arms where the weight is directly over the axle or slightly behind the axle? In the instructions it gives me the option to do either. My tow vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500HD SRW Long Bed LTZ. Just want to know which position will give me the best tow experience. Thank you.

For a long bed truck the best towing experience will be to have the arms in a position that allows the king pin to sit just forward of the rear axle. Long bed trucks have plenty of turning clearance so allowing the hitch to sit further forward helps distribute the weight of the trailer better on the truck's suspension.
