Replacement Brake Drum Hubs and Brake Assemblies for Super Lube or EZ-Lube Spindles

Question:

Are superlube and ezlube interchangeable? Are there brake drums only that will fit superlube hubs or are there dimensional issues requiring use of interagal hub and drum? Thanks

The Super Lube Axles are made by Tie Down Engineering and the EZ-Lube axles are made by Dexter Axle. They are the same concept by different manufacturers. Some EZ-Lube hubs will fit Super Lube spindles just fine.

The spindle dimensions can change by axle capacity, so you will need to determine the bearing sizes and the seal size for the correct fit. If you need help, I've attached a photo to assist and you can use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to get the spindle measurements in those locations if the bearing numbers printed on the face of each bearing isn't clear.

The brake assemblies you will use won't be dependent on the spindles but rather on the brake flange and axle capacity. For instance if you have 10 inch hubs and 4 hole brake flange you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA. If you have the 12 inch diameter drums with the 5 bolt flange then you will use # AKEBRK-7-SA.
