Question:
I have the wires under the hood hooked up and am trying to install a Primus IQ brake controller. While installing , 2 of the wires under the dash touch and sparked the smallest amount. but finished getting all wires connected and i have no power to my controller. I do have an old brake controller that i hooked up as well just to ensure that my new Primus wasnt the issue. Help!

Assuming you made the correct connections under the hood of your 2007 Chevy Tahoe (I have attached an article to assist that you can reference to be sure) it's very possible that you blew a fuse during the sparking incident. I recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual for any fuse locations related to these wires that you can check, replacing if needed.
Your other option is to just bypass this factory wire altogether. To do this you can simply run the black wire from your Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller # TK90160 all the way up to the positive post of the battery with some 10 gauge wiring like # 10-1-1 via a 20 amp circuit breaker # 9506P. The remaining wires from the controller can still be spliced to the factory bundle beneath the dash.
