Can I use 5/8" hardware with this coupler?

The Demco Trailer Coupler - Flat Plate Mount - eZ-Latch - Primed - 2" Ball - 10,000 lbs # DM15080-97 doesn't come with recommended hardware. My recommendation is to use the Curt Bolt Kit for Pintle Hooks and Lunette Rings # C48330 which are 1/2 inch by 2 inches.

Yes. I went to the warehouse to measure and the holes are a hair over 5/8 inch diameter so you can use 5/8 inch hardware as long is it is grade 8.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
