Installation Instructions for Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System 66557
Question:
Hello, your advice is right on for attaching the sway bars ! I bought my system in 2013 for a small Jayco TT. Finally went up in size recently and the dealer would not take this hitch/sway bar system with my trade. If I do sell this maybe on Craigslist how do I explain the install of the friction brackets on the tongue as I did not install them and have no instructions ? Thank you !

you can refer to and print the complete written instructions which I linked for you. These instructions also apply to the previous model number for this kit, 66041. A couple of videos are linked as well.
The spring bar brackets simply clamp around your trailer's frame - no drilling required. These brackets are designed to be positioned 27" to 32" back from your ball coupler and they can fit a wide range of frame sizes and can even be used on a trailer with a bottom-mounted coupler.
This particular system is suitable for use on trailers whose loaded tongue weight is between 250- and 400-lbs.
