Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2019 16 ft Bee Stock Trailer
Question:
I am fixing to pick up a 2019 Bee 16 foot stock trailer, loaded with the horses I will have about 500 TW, give or take. I was looking at this hitch Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW. My main concern is really hooking it up. Stock/horse trailers generally have the top of the triangleinch solid. I assume I will have to cut a hole for most of the hitches I have looked at, to get around the frame? Also looking at the length of sway control bars, not sure if there is enough room with out getting into the trailer body proper.I know that picture are deceiving also. Is there another option ? I know Im not the first person to go through this. I attached a picture, this is actually the trailer Im picking up.

It is possible to install weight distribution on a trailer like yours where the nose of it goes over most of the top of the trailer frame but you have to use frame brackets that bolt onto the side of the frame to get around the clearance issue. For that you'd need the part # RP58305 so you could install a Reese weight distribution system.
Since your loaded tongue weight is 500 lbs you'd want the Reese kit part # RP66540 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs.
