I would like to use this with a freightliner M2 tractor while pulling a 10 ton electric brake trailer. Would this be the best fit for that application?

The Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR should work well for you but you'll want to verify a few things. This can work on up to 3 brake axles, can be used on 12 volt or 24 volt setups, and has a max output amperage of 25 amps. You'll need to make sure the brake system of your trailer is compatible with those requirements.
