Best Hitch Extender Option Recommendation for 7,000 lb Trailer for 2-1/2 inch Hitch

Question:

Need to extend my truck hitch 16 inches for my Lance truck camper. 700lb tongue weight and 7000lb gtw at a maximum for my car hauler. I see several options to do this, one is the Curt 15410 hitch with an 18 inch traditional extension and have a shop weld on some 45 degree lateral support chain mounts. 2 inches longer than my need. Second I could pickup a Titan 2.5 inch hitch and 24 to 34 inch extension and cut it down to 24. The bend makes it impossible to cut down to 16 because of the rediculous bend. so it will be 8 inches longer than what I need. The last is the torklift superhitch 20k with a 21 inch extension, and thats still 5 inches longer than what I need. I already have a weight distribution setup, and fully intend to use it. What are the safe options here and why?

Best solution we have would be to cut down a longer 2-1/2 inch hitch extender part # RP45292 to 24 inches and hopefully the extra length won't be an issue. We don't have a way to get you exactly 16 inches unfortunately. With weight distribution at 24 inches of length this extender has a capacity of 8,000 lbs which would be enough for you.
