Parts Needed to Convert 2018 Grand Design Momentum to Disc Brakes
Question:
I have a 2018 Grand Design Momentum, 40foot tandem axle. Looking to convert to disk brakes. What is your recommendation? Also looking to upgrade axles to 8k from 7k. Thanks

We can help you with basically everything but the axles since we don't carry 8k axles at this time. For the disc brake kit that comes with hub/rotors I recommend the Kodiak Kit part # K2HR89DD as it is Dacromet coated which will prevent corrosion.
Then for the electric over hydraulic kit you'd want the HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes # CAR-HBA16-2. This comes with everything needed to install the actuator and have it functional. The included actuator is actually our best option too as it is the most reliable and fastest performing. This also comes with brake lines for a tandem axle trailer. I attached an install video too.
To pick out axles you will need to get the distance between the spring seat centers of your current axles as well as the distance between the hub faces. You'll need to find a local trailer shop who can order you in the correct axles based on that.
