Upgrading Hubs from 5 Bolt to 6-on-5.5 Inch Bolt Pattern Hub
Question:
I have a 22foot Slumber Queen travel trailer that has 5 stud bolt pattern and would like to change them to a 6x5.5 hub to match the aluminum wheels I recently acquired at a really good price. Will it work? Thanks

To determine if your hubs can be upgraded from 5 bolt to 6 bolt pattern, you first need to pull one of your current hubs to determine the bearing and seal numbers to ensure your new hubs will fit your axle spindles.
You will have an inner and outer bearing that will have numbers printed on the face. Then you will have a grease seal that will have a number printed on it as well. If you can get me those numbers I can let you know the 6 bolt hubs that will be compatible.
If you can't determine those numbers then you can measure your spindles at the bearing and seal locations using a caliper like # PTW80157 as precision is really important for bearings and seals.
