A trailer hitch alone on your 2014 Toyota Venza such as the Draw-Tite # 75663 will not affect the performance of your vehicle. The hitch weighs just 40 lbs and that is not nearly enough to be a factor in how your vehicle handles.
If you are pulling a trailer then yes, the weight of the trailer will definitely impact how your 2014 Venza performs; it will take longer to brake and accelerate as well as potentially reduce traction if you do not have your tongue weight in the recommended 10 percent to 15 percent range.
For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # 118482. It is also recommended you use Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector, which will increase its durability and extend its lifespan.
I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our page with each of our ball mounts for you to check out. I have added a link to a video review of the Draw-Tite hitch being installed on a Venza as well as links to help articles on trailer towing tips.
