For your 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75153. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver rated for 300 pounds tongue weight and 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
If you plan on doing some towing I also recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. You mentioned not needing trailer wiring but if you ever need to add some or replace a harness use # C59236 if the vehicle does not have a tow package or # 118248 if it does.
If you are using the hitch for an accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, the 2 inch receiver on the hitch will afford you many more options over a 1-1/4 inch hitch and you will not have to use a stabilization strap like you would with the CURT hitch.

I ordered the hidden hitch 70778 for my 2008 Lexus rx 350 that has tow package.....my question is on the wiring....my popup camper is 2008 Rockwood with brakes but my wiring is 4 pin......what do you recommend? the brake module wont fit under the cockpit due to the airbag and will have to be put on my dash? I am starting to believe its not possible.....
