How Does Blue Ox Patriot Get Power When Vehicle Key is Off

Blue Ox Patriot. If the unit plugs into the 12 volt of the tow vehicle how does it work/get power with the key off and out of the car?

The 12 volt cigarette lighter port on most vehicles is still active even when the key is off and out of the vehicle so the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR still will get the power it needs. In some situations the battery needs to get disconnected from the vehicle to flat tow it so an outlet kit # RM-9332 gets ran from the battery directly to the vehicle interior which is then how the Patriot II gets it's power.
