Recommended Power Transfer for Generator Connection on 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I want to add a second shore power cord to the front of my fifth wheel.I have a residential refrigerator that runs on a magnum1000 watt inverter with a magnum automatic transfer switch already installed to keep it on when I am driving. Can I install your furrion 50 amp automatic transfer switch where it comes into the back of the fifth wheel and add a cord with a 50 amp inlet to the front of my fifth wheel. I want to be able run my inverter generator off the new plug on the front so I can leave it in the back of my pickup truck. thanks I hope you can help?

The Furrion Transfer Switch - 50 Amp # F50ATS can be added to your 5th wheel trailer along with the 50 amp power inlet like # A10-50INVP or # A10-50INBKVP.

Most generator inverters will use a 30 amp generator cord, so you will use the Mighty Cord Generator Adapter for RV Power Cord - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Twist Lock Male # A10-G30450VP and then power cord # A10-5025ED. This cord is the shortest we carry at 25 feet long. This combination will allow you to power your refrigerator from the generator.

You don't need to use a 50 amp supply if you aren't connecting to your main power so you can use a completely separate feed if desired. If you want to save some money I recommend using a 30 amp system only if it is completely separate. You can use the 30 amp generator adapter # A10-G30330VP, 30 amp power cable # A10-3025ED90, power inlet # 277-000137 or # 277-000138, and Go Power Transfer Switch - 30 Amp # 34264403.
