Will Timbren Suspension Enhancement Reduce Wear on Shocks on a 2001 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I have a 2001 Tundra, Extended Cab. SR5 V8 4X4 I have a cabin I go to frequently which requires me to drive 35 miles one way on a dirt road that is often not so great. The front lower shock bushings do not like this at all and quickly fail. I bought a set of Rancho 9000 shocks because they said the bushings were poly-urethane but what a surprise, they are just rubber and dont last any better than the OEM. Rancho has to keep giving me shocks forever, but compressing the spring makes the job of replacing them really suck. Would this suspension enhansment help relieve some of the pounding on the shocks ? And would the rubber springs just give up after a short while themselves, leaving me still broken and poorer.

Timbren systems are designed to absorb road shock which does increase the life of the factory suspension. You will want to first make sure that the suspension is in good working order before installing and using the Front Suspension system, # TTOFTUN4. You can see in the instructions I have linked for you how the system will be effective in taking up the shock based on its position.

The Timbren system has a limited lifetime warranty so I would not worry about the longevity of the product. And, they will be much easier to install than the shocks you have. I have included a link to our FAQ article on Timbren systems as well.
