The 1/4 inch hole for the gooseneck ball will be drilled 45-3/4 inches from the rear of the bed on your 2013 Ford F-150 with the 5-1/2 foot bed when installing the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose # 9465-37. You can take a quick measurement from this point on your bed up to the back of the cab to see how close this will be to the cab.
On a short bed like yours I do recommend adding an offset ball like the Draw-Tite # 19308 that will give you 5 inches of additional cab clearance.
