We have programmers for your 1997 Ford F-250 with the 7.3 liter Powerstroke engine that will give the truck up to an additional 100 horsepower and 200 ft lbs of torque. For that you'd want the Edge Diesel Evolution CS2 part # EP85300. This will definitely make towing easier on your truck and improve mileage considerably. My parents used to have a very similar 1997 F-350 with the same engine that they towed with and the engine always had more than enough power. Only issue we had with the truck was the cam sensor went out a couple of times and ball joints. But aside from that it was a solid truck.
