Bolt-On Side-Mount Dual Wheel Trailer Jack Recommendation for Utility Trailer

Question:

I have a 5’x10’ single axle utility trailer and need to replace the jack on it. I would like a side mount that will roll on dirt and grass. Thanks.

Since you want a side-mount jack that will work on dirt/grass surfaces I suggest a dual-wheel type such as the Fulton # FXPD15L. Dual wheel will spread the weight over a larger area and help the jack function on such softer surfaces. The jack offers bolt-on installation, a hefty 1500-lb tongue weight rating, plunger-pin swivel operation and 12-inches of lift.

If the surfaces are very soft or rutted you may instead prefer the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211. This unit is shown in the linked photo and it has 15-inches of lift, bolts on to the frame and offers 2-speed hand crank operation to move your trailer. This will work far better on soft or uneven ground than the Fulton.

Plus you can use a drill attachment # TVDA so that your cordless drill can power the jack for you. The Valet itself weighs 45-lbs and it includes mounting hardware to bolt on to your frame. It fits frame up to 2-3/4-inches wide x 6-inches tall. The linked video will show you operation and features.
