Distance Between Hitch Openings of Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10
Question:
Is the distance between the two receivers 12inch total i.e. one receiver is offset 10inch in one direction and the there is offset 2inch in the opposite direction?

The rise/drop of the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10 is the distance from the top of the shank that slides into the vehicle hitch to the top of the receiver openings. So when the adapter is in the drop position and the lower opening is the longer one the distance is 10 inches from the top of the shank to the top of the lower opening and then 2 inches to the upper opening.
If you flip the adapter the distance is then also 10 inches of rise and 2 inches of drop. Since it's always the distance from the top of the shank to the top of the hitch openings the rise drop numbers stay the same except flip. So the distance between the hitch opening would be 12-1/4 inches.
