What is the Maximum Approach Angle of the Reese Sidewinder
Question:
I have read a few forums mentioning very tight approach angles to hitch due to the wedge. What is the max angle. On my Pullrite, it is 10 degrees which is very tight. Looking to move to the Reese system.

They do not list a maximum approach angle for the Reese Sidewinder because the truck and trailer must be in a straight line due to the wedge, like you mentioned. The approach angle of the 5th wheel hitch will be superseded by the Reese Sidewinder. I called my contact at Reese to confirm this.
It sounds like you have the 6-1/2' bed on your 2015 Ram 2500 and are looking to gain some more leeway in your approach angle without using a manual sliding 5th wheel hitch. If that is the case then I recommend taking a look at the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer part # DM8550034 which has a maximum approach angle of 15 degrees and will provide 14" of front to back travel. The approach angle is going to be more than the Reese Sidewinder and Pullrite SuperGlide.
If you have the factory prep package on your Ram then you can use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter part # DM6099 to install the Demco Hijacker Autoslide. If you do not have the factory prep package on your Ram then you can use the same industry standard rail kit you have now.
I have attached review videos for you as well.
