Can a Dual Fuel Generator be Used for a 5th Wheel Camper in Place of a Deep Cycle Battery

Question:

Do I have to have a deep cycle battery for my fifth wheel camper if I hook up to an rv ready generator?? What if anything should I know about hooking up to a 3800 watt dual fuel rv ready generator???

You don't necessarily have to have a battery on your trailer if you are using a dual fuel generator like the etrailer # 333-0005.

You just need to be sure that the draw of all of your electrical products does not exceed the output of your generator and that you have enough fuel to last your camping trip.

For example, the generator mentioned above has a surge power output of 4,500 watts when using gas and 4,100 watts when using propane. The running power output is 3,600 watts gas and 3,300 watts propane.

Attached is a link to a helpful article on generators that you can reference for more info.
