Helpful Expert Reply:
Hopkins 7-way/4-Pole Vehicle Connector kit # HM40975 consists of the 4-and-7-way connector, a mounting bracket and hardware. No relays are included since this kit is intended for use on vehicles equipped with a factory 7-way tow package.
The similar kit # N40975 includes relays.
On a Titan without any factory wiring you can add trailer harness (that is completely independent of any included or missing factory components) by installing 4-pole powered harness kit # C59496 which plugs in at your tail lights, and then adding 7-way conversion kit # ETBC7. These two items will give you a fully-functioning combination 4/7-way like # HM40975 which is independent of any factory wiring parts. The # ETBC7 kit also includes all parts needed to install a trailer brake controller like #
