Ball Mount With 5 Inches of Rise for Trailer Hitch on 2019 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I have a 2019 Chevy Equinox that has a Draw Tite class III hitch installed. The height of the 2 inch receiver is only 10 - 11 inches high and my 5 x 8 utility trailer needs to be 16 inches to be level. Is there a high rise drawbar that I can use to make the connection with the trailer at a more level height?

Expert Reply:
Since the Class III Draw-Tite hitch # 76419 on your 2019 Chevy Equinox measures 11 inches to the top of the receiver and the bottom of your utility trailer's coupler is 16 inches you will need a ball mount that gives you 5 inches of rise.
For that you can use the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 40346, which will fit your 2 inch receiver and has plenty of capacity at 6,000 lbs. You will also need Pin and Clip # PC3 or Trailer Hitch Lock # e98880 to secure the ball mount to your hitch as well as 2" Hitch Ball # C40004 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19260 depending on the size of your trailer's coupler.
I have also added a link to a video review of this ball mount for you to check out.
