Bike Rack Needed for Kayak Clearance When Using the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk

Question:

Hi I bought a Stromberg Carlson tongue mount from you several months ago when I ordered an Airstream trailer. The trailer is finally here and I need to match the mount with a bike rack. I have a Thule T2Proxt2 now but because we are using a Thule pickup box mounted Kayak rack, I need a bike rack that mounts closer to the trailer. To add to the problem we have fat bikes with carbon frames and 4 inch tires. Help

I do have a bike racks that you can potentially use with the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk # CC-275. Just for reference, the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV that you currently use measures 41-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest edge of the bike rack. Your rack is not approved for RV use, so it can't be used on the Bike Bunk.

The Stromberg Carlson # CC-275 requires bike racks to be approved for RV use to go on it's rack.
I recommend the Swagman Nomad Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches or RV Bumpers - Frame Mount
Item # S36FR. It is approved for RV use and measures 34-1/8 inches, however it only holds bikes up to 35 pounds and tires that are 3-1/2 inches wide.

I have the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 electric bikes # S94FR. It only holds 2 bikes but it will carry 2 bikes up to 70 pounds each, with tires up to 5" thick. It has a measure of approximately 39 inches from the hitch pin to the farthest point of the rack. That is a 2-1/2 inches closer to the bunk. Not sure if that is enough extra clearance for you.
