What Size Circuit Breaker is Needed to Install the Prodigy P3 # 90195 on a 1989 Toyota Pickup
Question:
Which breaker do I need to install for this controller? I am installing on a 1989 yes that is 1989 Toyota Pickup 4WD with a 5 Speed standard trans. I am going to tow a 2017 Airstream Yea I get it quite a mismatch but the Pickup is rated to tow 3500LBs that weighs 2800lbs with electric brakes. I will likely start with the boost at 1 and may go to 2.

If you already have a fully functioning 7-Way on your 1989 Toyota Pickup then you just need to make sure that a 20A Auto-Reset Circuit Breaker like part # PK54520 is installed between the black wire of the pigtail that comes with the Prodigy P3 # 90195 and the positive terminal on your battery.
We also have wiring for your Toyota if you don't already have wiring. The Tekonsha T-One # 118379 can be paired up with the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 which gives you all of the wiring and connectors needed to install the P3.
Attached are some installation videos you can reference as well as some helpful articles on installing a brake controller from scratch.
