Where do you connect the black wire on the 48510?

I cannot know for certain but I can say that generally, the black wire is for 12 volt power, the white wire is for ground, the yellow wire is for left turn/brake, the green wire is for right turn/brake, and the brown wire is for running lights. This will give you a good idea of what the wire colors represent but as there is not really a standard wire color to function chart it will be necessary to test the lights for functions with a circuit tester. This will be the best way to install the Hopkins Endurance Metal Trailer Connector part # HM48510 on your trailer.

I have attached a photo of the correct location for the 12 volt black power wire. You will need to make sure this is the same as on the tow vehicle. It is the terminal in the 1 o'clock location.
