Recommended 7-Way Wiring Harness and Brake Controller for 2015 Chevy Traverse
Question:
I have a 2015 Chevy traverse it does not have a 7 pin connector going to the back what is the best way to hook up a brake controller looking to get a small lite travel trailer with electric brakes

For your 2015 Chevy Traverse without factory 7-way should have a harness that will allow you to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118271 which will activate a factory harness when you install the relays and fuses. You may also be interested in a bracket like # 18138 and # 18140.
You can then use the wiring harness # 3026-P which connects to the factory harness located underneath the dash to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. This will allow you to connect a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is my recommendation for you. It has an LCD screen and easy presets to make it easy to understand and use.
I've attached some videos to assist with the installation and functions.
