In order to determine if the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # HT5R will work on your Nissan Leaf you will need to measure from center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of your bumper. This distance will need to be less than 3-5/8" in order for the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver to work.

When we installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11396 on a 2013 and 2017 Nissan Leaf we found this distance to be 5" which means it will not work. If you need a 1-1/4" to 2" trailer hitch receiver adapter then you can use the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # HTAD but please keep in mind that this adapter like any other will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%.
