Troubleshooting Titan Model 60 Brake Actuating Coupler Not Releasing Disc Brakes

Question:

I put on a new breake acuator last year could it be bad already? My brakes are over heating, a lot, while investigating the problems I noticed I need new rotors and brake pads they have a really unusual wear patter on the rotors so I was hopping that was the problem. However, I could not get the passenger side caliper to push back. I had to release the brake bleed to get it pushed in. However, the drivers side pushed right in no problems. Now am am concerned the acuator may be bad again. Any thoughts?

Since your brakes aren't releasing, it sounds like you either have a bad master cylinder in your surge coupler or a bad shock. The caliper piston moved when you released the pressure with the bleed valve, so it appears the plunger on the master cylinder is not responding when you release the brakes. This could be the master cylinder # T4820000 or it could be the shock # T2336200 has gone bad not allowing the pressure to be released.
