Why is Brake Controller Signal Fading
Question:
I have a 7 pin plug and at the blue wire testing it when the brakes are applied it shows 12 13 volts right away and then starts to fade off why would it do that I have a 2003 GMC 1500 HD pickup and the voltage stays at 3.75 but if I reapply the brakes again itll head over 12 volts and then fade to 3.75

It sounds like you have a Time-Delayed controller like the Tekonsha PowerTrac # 39523. If this is the case then what is happening is that the controller sends back the full amount of power that you have it set at when you first press the brake pedal or use the override. Then when the controller senses that not as much power is needed it starts to fade.
If your trailer is braking normally on the road and you have a time-delayed controller everything is operating normally. If this is not the case please give me some more insight as to what controller you have and if the brakes are acting abnormally and I can help you troubleshoot further.
