Converter to Provide Brake-Only Signal for 3rd Brake Light on Camper Shell
Question:
I am attempting to wire a CHMSL for my ARE Z series camper shell for my 2018 Chevy Silverado LTZ with factory LED brake/turn signals. I tapped into the 7 pin r/turn signal/stop wire. The brake light illuminates but when I turn on my right turn signal, my signal hyper flashes after 3 normal blinks. How do I correctly tap into my 7 pin wiring harness to eliminate the hyper flashing whenever I use my right turn signal?

Expert Reply:
A center or 3rd brake light needs to receive a brakes-only signal. You will need the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 to block the turn signals. This is needed when using an LED 3rd brake light.
