Troubleshooting MaxxAir Vent Powered Lid that Won't Open
Question:
On both of my units the fa will come on the motor engages the black crank knobs turn but lids won’t open 2015 crossroads cruiser Maxxfan smoke 4900K

I've attached the owners manual for your 4900K model which is similar to the # MA00-04500K model. It sounds like your operator mechanism is bad according to my tech contact at MaxxAir. For your 4900K model you will want the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF.
If you can't even manually lift the lid, this mechanism is definitely the issue.

I have the same model fan and the lid will manually open and when the power button is hit it will automatically close. However, in the closed position the fan will not come on and the lid will not open. The fan does not come on in with the lid open or closed.
