2 Inch Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Honda CRV

Question:

I read that in order to carry 4 bikes on a bike rack, I need a 2inch hitch. Can I upgrade my existing 1inch hitch by removing the 1inch hitch and installing the 2inch hitch? Or is my CRV limited to the 1inch hitch?

My favorite bike rack to recommend is the Thule Swing Away Bike Rack # TH9027XT because it can carry up to 4 bikes and can swing out and away from the rear of the vehicle to give you complete access to the rear cargo area with bikes loaded.
