Replacement Kwikee 28 Series Step Frame

Question:

I have a 2018 Phoenix Cruiser 2552 motor home. I bent the frame on my Lippert Kwickee Step and I need to replace it. I want an exact replacement Kwickee Step. I have attached a photo showing the step placard with numbers. Unfortunately these numbers dont match any of the the part numbers on your website. From my measurements the Step dimensions are: 23-3/4inch wide x 10-3/8inch deepand it looks like 7. Mounting bracket dimensions: 24-1/4inch wide x 5-7/8inch tall x 8-9/16inch deep. From the pictures and diagrams I assume its a 28 series and possibly one of these parts. LC3747452, LC3747453, LC3747451. Ive compared the 3 and cant really find any real difference. A door switch is prewired on the motor home and I want to use the existing switch. It is a conventional plunger contact switch. Option 1 : The problem with my step is the frame is bent but the motor and control unit are in perfect working order. If I could just get a replacement frame I could remount my drive gear to the new frame. I see that you offer a bare replacement frame. Is this the correct number LC3747457? Is it in stock? Option 2: Please give me guidance to the correct part number for a complete assembly to purchase because if I have to buy a complete unit I want a bolt up / plug-n-play replacement.

I spoke with my contact at Lippert regarding the existing Kwikee Step Assembly on your 2018 Phoenix Cruiser. Using the main part number of 427123 from the information sticker you attached he stated that it is likely a 28 Series unit. Once I gave him the measurements that you took on the assembly he was able to confirm this. The Kwikee 28 Series unit does indeed feature a 24-1/4 inch mounting bracket and a step width of 23-3/4 inches.

The Lippert Kwikee Step 28 Series Single Step # LC3747457 that you referenced is exactly what you need to replace just the frame. My contact did also confirm that you can use all your existing components to wire up the unit and mount it to the motorhome.
